Polyaspartic Floor Coatings in Paradise Valley, AZ
- UV-stable
- Fast return to use
- Topcoat or full system
Polyaspartic is the chemistry that makes Arizona garage floors work. It cures fast, holds its clarity and color in sunlight, and handles a wide temperature range. We use it as the clear topcoat on most flake floors and as a full system when a client needs the floor back quickly.
If your garage door faces west or south, or you're coating a covered patio, polyaspartic is almost certainly part of the plan.

What you get
What polyaspartic is good at.
Polyaspartic is an aliphatic coating, which means it doesn't yellow under UV the way most epoxies do. It also cures much faster, so floors can often take foot traffic the same day and return to service sooner.
What you give up is open time. Mixed material sets quickly, especially on a warm slab, so crews work in planned sections with the right batch sizes. That's one reason it's a professional product rather than a weekend kit.

Why choose it
Why it suits Arizona floors so well.
It stays clear
Topcoats keep their clarity and color even near open doors.
It's back in use fast
Shorter cure times mean less time with the garage out of action.
It's tough
Good abrasion and chemical resistance for tires, tools and spills.
It handles heat
It performs across the temperature swings of an Arizona garage.

Options
Topcoat or full system.
We'll talk through both at the visit and bring samples so you can see them in your own light.
As a topcoat
The most common use. An epoxy or polyurea base gives bond and build, and a polyaspartic clear on top gives UV stability and wear resistance. This gets the strengths of both chemistries.
As a full system
Polyaspartic can also be used from base to clear for a fast turnaround. It needs very thorough grinding and a dry slab, and we confirm both before recommending it.
Paradise Valley notes
Built for bright light and hot slabs.
In Paradise Valley the sun is the main thing a floor coating has to survive. Polyaspartic topcoats hold up under it. The challenge is installing them, because a hot slab shortens working time. In the warm months we start early, check slab temperature with an infrared thermometer before every mix, and adjust batch sizes so each section goes down at its best.

Install day
Install day with polyaspartic.
Prep is the same thorough grind and repair. Coats then go down in sections sized to the material's working time, often with the clear applied the same day as the base and flake.
Many garages are finished in one day with this system, with foot traffic the same evening. Vehicles still need a wait, and your cure sheet gives the date.
Pricing
What goes into the price.
Polyaspartic material costs more than standard epoxy, and installs need a well-drilled crew. These are the main factors.
- Topcoat or full systemA full polyaspartic system uses more of the premium material.
- Square footageBigger areas need more crew to keep sections moving.
- Prep needsFast-cure systems need an especially clean, open profile.
- FinishFlake, solid color and added grit each change material and time.
Afterward
Caring for a polyaspartic floor.
Dust-mop weekly, mop with a neutral cleaner, and wipe up chemicals the same day. The topcoat is hard-wearing, but grit is still the main thing that dulls any floor over time.

Questions
Polyaspartic Floor Coatings: quick answers.
Anything else on your mind? Add it to your request and we will answer when we call.
Send your questionIs polyaspartic better than epoxy?
They do different jobs. Epoxy is a great base and body coat. Polyaspartic is the better topcoat where there's sun. Most good systems use both.
Can it be done in one day?
Many garages can, depending on size, condition and temperature. Vehicles still need extra cure time.
Will it yellow?
Aliphatic polyaspartic is UV-stable and resists yellowing in sunlight.
Is it slippery?
Like any gloss coating it can be slick when wet. We add fine grit to the clear in areas that need it.
Can it go on a patio?
Yes. Outdoor coatings in our area are typically finished with a polyaspartic, with texture added for grip.
Why not a polyaspartic DIY kit?
The short working time is hard to manage without experience, and kits skip diamond grinding. Most kit failures are bond failures.
