Patio & Concrete Coatings in Paradise Valley, AZ
- Textured grip
- UV-stable
- Pool-friendly
Outdoor living is a big part of Paradise Valley life, and most of it happens on concrete: the pool deck, the covered patio, the path to the casita, the slab under the outdoor kitchen, sometimes a pickleball or sport court. Coatings protect that concrete, freshen tired color and add grip where people walk barefoot.
Outdoor systems are different from garage floors, so we choose materials made for direct sun, water and heat.

What you get
Outdoor coatings work differently.
Outside, the coating faces full UV, rain, pool water and surfaces that get hot in summer. We use UV-stable, breathable or light-colored systems and always build in texture for traction. Glossy indoor finishes don't belong around a pool.
Prep still decides the result. Outdoor slabs get cleaned, ground or profiled, repaired and primed before color goes down. Old sealers or paint that are peeling have to come off first.

Why choose it
What a coating does for outdoor concrete.
Better grip
Texture gives wet feet something to hold on to.
Fresh color
Faded or stained concrete gets an even, new look.
Easier cleaning
Sealed surfaces resist stains from leaves, food and grill grease.
Protected concrete
Coatings help keep water and chemicals out of the slab.

Textured solid color
A light, UV-stable color with fine texture. Light tones stay cooler underfoot than dark ones, which matters on an uncovered pool deck.
Flake under a textured clear
A flake blend sealed with a textured clear. It works well on covered patios and walkways and can tie into a garage floor nearby.
Paradise Valley notes
Pools, views and summer heat.
Many Paradise Valley properties are built around the pool and the mountain views, with large patios and long walkways. Uncovered concrete can get very hot by midafternoon, so we steer pool decks toward light colors and textures designed for bare feet. Some neighborhoods have rules about exterior colors visible from the street, so check before choosing a bold color for front walks or entries.

Install day
How outdoor work is scheduled.
Outdoor jobs depend on the weather. We avoid rain, blowing dust and the hottest hours, and we check the slab temperature before coating. Pool equipment and landscaping are protected first.
Most patios and decks take one to three days depending on size, repairs and the system. We'll tell you when you can walk on it and when furniture can go back.
Pricing
What affects the cost outdoors.
Outdoor jobs vary a lot because of layout and condition. These are the main factors.
- RemovalPeeling sealer, paint or old deck coatings have to be stripped.
- LayoutSteps, coping, drains and long narrow walks add hand work.
- RepairsCracks, spalls and settled sections need fixing first.
- SystemFlake under a textured clear costs more than one textured color.
Afterward
Keeping outdoor coatings fresh.
Rinse with a hose and use a soft brush for dirt. Keep pool chemical buckets off the coating, and wipe up spills. Avoid pressure washers set to a narrow, high-pressure tip close to the surface.

Questions
Patio & Concrete Coatings: quick answers.
Anything else on your mind? Add it to your request and we will answer when we call.
Send your questionWill the coating get hot in summer?
All outdoor surfaces heat up. Light colors stay noticeably cooler than dark ones, which is why we recommend them for uncovered pool decks.
Is it safe around pool water?
Yes, when it's a system made for outdoor and wet areas. Texture is always added for grip.
Can you coat pavers or flagstone?
No. These systems are for concrete. Pavers and stone are usually sealed rather than coated.
Can you coat a sport court?
Concrete sport courts can be coated with a textured system. Tournament-grade court surfacing is a separate specialty.
Do I need approval for a front walk?
Exterior surfaces visible from the street may fall under neighborhood rules. Check before choosing colors.
How long does an outdoor coating last?
It depends on sun, traffic and prep. A well-prepared slab with a UV-stable system lasts far longer than a roll-on sealer.
